Think of a grand French chateau in miniature, fabulous grounds with fountains, lawns, wooded walks and flower gardens, dotted with statues and ornate follies. Then visualise your wedding day against the breathtaking backdrop of this magical early 19th‑century mansion and its magnificent 92‑acre gardens. If you yearn for stunning historic surroundings mixing elegant French architecture with a grand and picturesque landscape, then Wrest Park will be your ideal wedding day location.

With a choice of elegant gilded rooms inside the mansion and a wonderful light and airy Orangery for your ceremony and reception, plus magnificent gardens all exclusively yours, Wrest Park will lift your special day into a truly unique and unforgettable occasion.

By choosing a superb historic location for your celebrations, you bring the echoes of the people and events that have shaped it though the centuries, to give your day a deeper, more meaningful quality.

Wrest Park was home to the de Grey family from the middle ages until the 20th century. The grounds reflect three distinct garden styles, dating from the early and mid 18th century and from the 1830’s, when Thomas de Grey also built the present mansion with the architecture of Paris as his inspiration.

As you celebrate your wedding in these opulent surroundings you can imagine Earl de Grey and his countess in their stylish and fashionable new home hosting glittering dinners and balls for the cream of 19th century society.

You can make a grand entrance at Wrest Park through an outer, oval entrance hall and into a second soaring hall with a sweeping staircase, as portraits of the de Grey family in their ornate gilded frames look down from above. This leads to a series of interconnecting rooms, each licensed for civil ceremonies and each looking out over the terrace and across the formal parterre gardens with fountains and statues to stretches of water and woodland beyond.
