London’s oldest botanic garden offers a tranquil and memorable location for a variety of events including wedding receptions, anniversary parties, corporate functions, a company away-day or confidential meeting. With over four acres of land, Chelsea Physic Garden can offer a range of spaces for your event:
The Garden and Main Lawn
Most events take place on or around the large, main lawn which can be found at the heart of the Garden. The Garden can host up to 400 people with a large marquee able to seat around 250 people. Even with a marquee in place much of the lawn remains exposed enhancing the natural ambience of any event.
The Lower Lawn
Tucked away in the southwest corner of the Garden, this secluded area is ideal for intimate day or evening gatherings of up to 100 guests, a small marquee fits here perfectly.
The Garden Room and Gallery
At the northern end of the Garden is a red brick Edwardian house, surrounded by greenery. This building houses the Garden Room which can seat around 80 guests or 100 for a standing reception. Located above the Garden Room is the Gallery, with wide views overlooking the Garden this is a well-equipped space ideal for presentations, conferences or private meetings seating up to 70 people. Both rooms are light and spacious and can be arranged in a variety of layouts to suit event requirements.
